"MABS cancer association opens new centre in San Javier."

MABS is a British support group for people who have cancer. They opened up a new headquarters at San Javier. The group was founded ten years ago and is dedicated to Jacqueline Howes who was a British model who retired in Spain. She was the first patient to be attended to by this association. When she died in 2007 she left part of her estate to MABS. MABS is not a medical group; it's purpose is to help, comfort, and support those diagnosed with cancer. Members of the association help by giving patients information on their illness and treatments, visiting patients in the hospital or at home to give the patients support, or by supplying things they need. I think this is a great organization and the people involved are wonderful people.
